You are ideally placed to explore Ayrshire's outstanding landscapes and a wealth of historic and sporting attractions. As well as the home of Scotland's most famous poet Robert Burns, you can visit Culzean Castle and Country Park. If you enjoy activities you are within half a mile of Citadel pool and gymnasium. There is salmon and trout fishing close by or you could even enjoy the excitement offered at Ayr's racecourse. There are thirty first-class golf courses only a short drive away. These include the world famous Championship courses at Turnberry and Royal Troon.

Culzean Castle

Culzean Castle is one of Scotland's best loved Castles, offering something for everyone to enjoy. This is the National Trust for Scotland's most popular tourist attraction and contains General Eisenhower's apartment - which was given to him in 1945 as a lifetime thank you from Scotland for commanding Scottish soldiers in the battle for Europe.

Within the country park there is a Visitor Centre, castle armoury, 563 acres of gardens, a Deer Park, walled gardens, Swan pond, adventure playground, aviary, camellia house and an Orangery. Visit Website 

Burns Country

A visit to Ayrshire would be incomplete without a visit to the birthplace of Scotland's National poet, Robert Burns.
